Zander Michael Karsnia

Mar 11, 2004 — Oct 12, 2026

Zander Karsnia, 22, of Underwood, died Monday, October 12, 2026 at his home.

Zander Michael Karsnia was born March 11, 2004 to Louis and Jessica (Thom) Karsnia in Fergus Falls. He attended Underwood Elementary School, Fergus Falls Elementary School as part of the Prairie Wetlands Program, and graduated from Underwood High School. He was currently enrolled in the Diesel Technician program at Alexandria Technical College.

He worked at Amor Excavating, MN Motors, DJ Dock and Lift, City of Fergus Falls where he got to live his hockey dream of driving the Zamboni, Lot Pros, and closest to his heart, RKR Repair with a dream of owning a diesel repair business.

Zander was a hard-working, fun-loving person with a kind and gentle soul. He had a beautiful smile that could light up a room and gave the very best hugs, making anyone who had one feel loved and cared for. His family meant the world to him and he shared a special bond with his younger brother, Landon, always being a great big brother.

His beloved dog, Loki held a special place in his heart.

He was a member of the Minnesota Army National Guard, Tingvold Lutheran Church, and Sons of the American Legion.

Whether he was playing hockey, hunting, fishing, shooting trap, watching sports, or drumming; he found peace in doing the things he loved. He had a natural talent for mechanics and could fix just about anything, always willing to put his hands to work and figure things out. He also enjoyed camping, spending time with his friends and family, bonfires, and motorcycling. He had many passions and enjoyed life through the things he loved most.

Above all, he will be remembered for his loving heart, his hard-working nature, his amazing sense of fun, and the warmth he brought to the people fortunate enough to know him. His beautiful smile, unforgettable hugs and the love he gave so freely will forever live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

He was deeply loved and will be missed more than words can ever express.

Preceding him in death was his father, Louis Karsnia; grandfather, Michael Karsnia; grandmother, Elise Carlson; great-grandparents, Marlene (Harl) Hockeborn, Orrin Erickson, Annabelle Anderson, and Bob Fritz.
