Russell Hall

Russell R. Hall, 64, of Fergus Falls, died Friday, July 25, 2025 at his residence.

Russell Roy Hall was born September 13, 1960, to James Robert Hall and Elizabeth Marie (Goltra) Thompson in Minneapolis. Russell attended Richfield High School, earning his GED.

He worked as a manager for Marriot Host MSP, an aid for Marty Rodick, and as a general custodian for various cleaning companies.

On October 28, 1989, Russell married Donna Mae Torvinen in Menahga, MN.

He loved playing street football with the kids, telling jokes, baking, watching football on tv, spending time with his sons, watching Ali greatest of all time, watching his grandchildren grow up, and playing online poker - He thought he was the best.

Preceding him death were his father, James Hall; his mother, Elizabeth Thompson, and his best friend, Marty Rodich of Eagan.

Russell is survived by his wife, Donna Hall; his children, Daniel Hall and Samuel Hall both of Fergus Falls, and Joseph Hall of Underwood; his grandchildren, Addison Hall, Ella Hall, and Aiden Runningen; sister, Cyd Brunmeier of Minneapolis; brother-in-law, Bob Brunmeier of Minneapolis, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and anyone he called a friend.

Celebration of Life Service: 12:00 p.m. Sunday, August 17, 2025 at the Eagle's Club Upper Level 120 S. Peck Street Fergus Falls, MN 56537, with gathering time to follow until 2:00 p.m. A light lunch will be served.
