Phillip "Bob" Hallett

Phillip Robert “Bob” Hallett, 76, of Fergus Falls, passed away peacefully in his home under the care of hospice Friday, October 27, 2023.

He was born December 2, 1946 to Phillip and Adeline (Groen) Hallett in Lisbon, ND. He grew up and attended grade school and high school in Milnor, ND.

On October 21, 1967, he was united in marriage to Carol Larson. They made their home in Milnor, ND. Bob attended NDSCS in Wahpeton, ND and graduated in 1970. After graduation they moved to Valley City, then Harwood, and finally to Fergus Falls.

During his years of employment, he worked at Melroe Bobcat in Gwinner and Enterprise Sales in Valley City. He and close friends, Steve Nielson and Melvin Karch, owned and operated Sheyenne Tire and Sports in Valley City. He continued his employment at Meyer Milk in Valley City before moving his family to Harwood in 1981, where he went on to work for Wood & Conn, Cross Country Courier, and ended his employment retiring from Edney Distributing in 2007. In 2008 Bob and Carol moved to Fergus Falls.

Bob was multi-talented in many areas and trades. He enjoyed woodworking (making gifts for family), home improvements, camping, fishing, boating, spending time outdoors, and reading western themed books. His greatest joy was his family and the time they spent together.

He was preceded in death by his son, Randy Hallett; parents, Phillip and Adeline; father and mother-in-law, Howard and Inga Larson, and brothers-in-law, Darrell Larson, Duane Larson, and Dan Andreasen.

Bob is survived by his wife, Carol of Fergus Falls; daughter, DeAnn Hallett of West Fargo; son, Ryan (Amy) Hallett of Argusville; grandchildren, Toni (Levi) Jablonsky, Traci and Denton Diegel, Eric, Alicia, Brandon Hallett, Gavin, Taylor, Kinley Hallett; great-grandchildren, Murphy and Rick Jablonsky; sister, Peggy (David) Braaten of Twin Valley; brothers-in-law, DeVon Larson, Roger (Ranae) Larson, and Larry (Kathy) Larson; sisters-in-law, Dianne Larson, Debara Andreasen, and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service: 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 2, 2023 at Maple Sheyenne Lutheran Church in Harwood, ND, with visitation one-hour prior to the service at the church.

Interment: Maple Sheyenne Cemetery, Harwood, ND
