Norbert John Tacner

Norbert Tacner, of Dalton, a friend, a brother and most importantly, a father, died unexpectedly on August 5th, 2026 at the age of 45 while riding home on his motorcycle.

Norbert is survived by his children, Rylan, Ashtyn, Izzebelle and Charlotte. He is predeceased by his father, Daniel Tacner.

Norbert was born in Iowa City on February 17th 1981. He was a hardworking man skilled in many trades. At the time of his passing, he was employed at Quality Circuits in Fergus Falls. Norbert took pride in his work, both professionally and personal. His missing presence in the world is felt by all who knew him, both causally and closely.

Norbert was a devoted father and avid ice fisherman. He enjoyed driving any vehicle that could go fast! Most importantly he enjoyed motorcycles and outdoor vehicles where you could feel the power of wheels tearing up the ground. Norbert was an amazingly hard-working man. He has built 2 houses in his free time after work and remodeled and flipped at least two others. He was the kind of person who would help anyone at any time but never ask for it in return. He was a problem-solver who often took on difficult and unwanted projects. He was a no-nonsense man with a compassionate side that often times went under the radar, but if you needed help, he was there, no questions asked. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him. While he may no longer be with us physically, he will always be with us in our hearts and mind.

A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date.
