Michael Meech

Michael Meech, 54, of Fergus Falls, died Friday, February 20, 2026 at Essentia Health in Fargo.

Michael Thomas Meech was born January 31, 1972 in Stillwater, MN to Glenn and Carol (Sherrard) Meech.

On September 17, 2016 he married Julie Elsenpeter in Stillwater.

Mike started working at Universal Forest Products in 1997 as a truck loader until he moved to Fergus Falls in 2010. In 2012, he started working at Shoremaster until 2016 and as a truck loader until 2021. Following short stints at Home Depot and Fleet Farm, he was hired at M&R Sign in 2022 in shipping and receiving. He worked there until 2024 when medical issues started to hinder his ability.

He enjoyed everything football; playing when he was younger and watching. He also enjoyed everything history and trivia; calling it his wealth of use less knowledge. Mike enjoyed camping in the Badlands, which he grew to love. His absolute favorite pastime was spending time with his dog, Maria.

Preceding him in death were his sister, Katherine Triemert and his nephew, Derick Triemert.

Mike is survived by his wife, Julie Meech of Fergus Falls; daughter, Madalyn Meech of Cokato; parents; Glenn and Carol Meech; brother, David Meech; niece, Elly Triemert; nephew, Josh Triemert; uncle, Roger Sherrard, and numerous cousins and friends.
