Mary Gadow, 88, of Foxhome, died Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at Pioneer Care in Fergus Falls, MN.

Mary Louise Lee was born August 18, 1936 to Willis J. and Rema Rose (Lenzen) Lee in Foxhome. She attended Breckenridge School, graduating in 1954.

On April 14, 1956 Mary married Robert "Bob" Louis Gadow in Foxhome.

She was a clerk at Woolworth's from 1954 - 1956. Mary was a stay-at-home mother until their daughter, Michele went to school. She again worked at Woolworth's until the store closed in 1997 and her retirement after 25 years. She was the gambling manager for the Ladies Auxiliary in her later years. Mary was also the bookkeeper for gambling at the VFW.

Mary was an active member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a member of a dart league for the VFW. She enjoyed reading, playing bingo, going to the casino, and listening to music.

Preceding her in death were infant daughters, Roberta and Mary; her parents, WJ Lee Sr. and Rema Lee; mother-in-law, Margaret Gadow; father-in-law, Paul Gadow; siblings, James Lee, Willis J. Lee Jr., and Donna Willemssen; brother-in-law, Robert West, and sister-in-law, Phyllis Gadow, as well as many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Mary is survived by her husband, Robert "Bob" Gadow of Foxhome; children, Cindi (Dave) Habas of Little Falls, Tim (Cindy) Gadow of Fergus Falls, Cathy (Al) Sholts of Alexandria, and Michele (Brad) Steussy of Breckenridge; grandchildren, Jasmyne (Eric) Marzofka and Whitney Habas all of Little Falls, Stephanie (Jeremy) Haukos of Foxhome, Nathan (Molly) Gadow of North Port, FL, Christopher (Vanessa) Jacobson of Fergus Falls, Katie Jacobson (Gary Olsen) of Fridley, Craig (Lindsey) Sholts of Alexandria, Christopher (Jennifer) Sholts of Littleton, CO, Joshua Steussy of Breckenridge, and Jessica (Mark) Kappes of Kent; great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Aaron Marzofka, Rylee, Morgan, and Lila Haukos, Connor and Mia Gadow, Zoelle, Meridien, and Xiomara Jacobson, Sydney and Caleb Sholts, and Amelia Kappes; siblings, Jenny (Gabe) Amon and Doug (Fran) Lee; brothers-in-law, Les Gadow and David (Susan) Gadow; sisters-in-law, Susan Schroeder and Marge West of Waterloo, IA; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A special thank you on behalf of Mary's family to the wonderful staff at PioneerCare and Vivie Hospice, who showed Mary great compassion and care in her final weeks.

Memorials preferred in Mary's honor to Vivie Hospice, St. Jude's or Fergus Falls Cancer Care and Research Center.

Memorial Service: 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 4, 2025 at Olson Funeral and Cremation in Fergus Falls, with visitation one-hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
