Marilyn Ragan, 61, of Fergus Falls, died Monday, November 25, 2024 at Sanford on Broadway in Fargo.
Marilyn Ann Ragan was born January 14th, 1963 in Hood River, Oregon and passed away on November 25th 2024 in Fargo, North Dakota.
Marilyn was the 4th child of James H. Ragan and Wanda Morris Ragan, joining older siblings James Jay, Floyce Fay, and Darren Lee. Shortly after the she was born, the family moved back to California, where she spent her early years in Vacaville and Yolo. In 1970, the family moved to Chinook, Montana. She attended country elementary schools there before moving to Cutbank, Montana, where she graduated high school in 1981. Marilyn loved to sing, and participated in choir and the community choir while in high school. Marilyn attended college in Williston, North Dakota.
On August 10th, 1984, she married Keith Bodin in Williston. They soon relocated to Council Bluffs, Iowa, where their beautiful daughter Emily Grace was born on March 31st 1992. The family moved to Fergus Falls, MN, where she remained until her death.
Marilyn worked in various accounting positions her entire life. From Art-N-Sign, Locators and Supplies, Northern Contours, to Lutheran Social Service, she was very meticulous at every job in her career. She was admired by her colleagues not only for her tireless work ethic, but for her kindness and sassy humor.
Marilyn loved life. She enjoyed spending time with her friends playing poker and bowling. She was never afraid to speak her mind, she was quick to call out BS when she saw it, and was the fiercest "Mama Bear" friend a person could ask for.
Marilyn would definitely say her daughter Emily was her greatest joy and accomplishment! They loved going on adventures together over the years.
Preceding Marilyn in death are her parents James and Wanda Ragan, along with many beloved aunts and uncles from the Ragan/Morris family.
Marilyn is survived by her daughter Emily Bodin, her older siblings Floyce (Les) Mord, Darren Ragan, and Jim Ragan, nieces and nephews, her numerous poker friends, favorite coworkers (you know which ones you are), and grand-cat Moonshine Onyx Bodin.
Marilyn, your presence we miss, your memory we treasure, loving you always, forgetting you never.
