Loren Tellinghuisen

Loren Tellinghuisen, 64, of Pelican Rapids, died Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at Riverfront on Main in Pelican Rapids.

Loren James Tellinghuisen was born May 19, 1961 to Burdell and Janice (Johnson) Tellinghuisen in Worthington, MN. He attended Worthington Elementary School and Underwood Public School, graduating in 1979. After high school, he attended Fergus Falls Community College.

On July 18, 1981 Loren married Laurie Henderson in Underwood and April Lefrancios on December 7, 1991 in Dalton.

He was a welding machine salesman for Century and also a carpet installer.

As a senior in high school in Underwood, Loren played on the basketball team and was in track. He lettered in both sports. He enjoyed fishing, basketball, softball, pool and darts.

Family was very important to Loren. He also was grateful that he could help his mom and later care for her. He especially enjoyed fishing with his son, Justin and spending time with Justin's family.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Burdell and Janice Tellinghuisen; grandparents, Carl and Lilian Tellinghuisen and Douglas and Mary Johnson; brother, Lee Tellinghuisen, and nephew, Lucas Myhre.

Loren is survived by his children, Justin (Destiny) Tellinghuisen of Fergus Falls and Linda Tellinghuisen of Osakis; grandchildren, Rylee Janice Tellinghuisen, Lorelei Lee Tellinghuisen, and Duane Titus Treman; sister, LaNae Myhre of Riverton, WY, and brother, Larry (Sandy) Tellinghuisen of Sac City, IA.

Memorial Service: 1:00 pm on Friday, September 26, 2025 at Tordenskjold Lutheran Church, Dalton, MN.
