Lois Fitzner

Lois Eldora (Timian) Fitzner, 82, a resident of Fergus Falls, went home to the Lord on Friday, February 13, 2026. For the last year, Lois received loving and compassionate care at Pioneer Cottages with the additional support of Vivie Hospice in the last several months.

Lois was born on February 3, 1944, to Eldor Timian and Frances (Pubanz) Timian in Grand Forks, North Dakota.

After graduating from high school in 1962, Lois continued on to school and completed cosmetology licensing. She had fond memories of working at the beauty salon.

On February 20, 1971, Lois married Ronald Marvin Fitzner at St. John's Lutheran Church in New Ulm. They resided in the cities of New Ulm and Alexandria, before moving to Fergus Falls in the mid 1970's.

Once relocating to Fergus Falls, Lois became employed at Archie's and remained there until its closing in 2009. She held other positions until her retirement.

Lois lived out her faith and modeled what it means to find blessings in all circumstances. Lois loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed walking, annual state park and Minnesota north shore fall trips being surrounded by the beauty of fall leaves, reading, watching game shows, and baking. Lois was known to share platters of Christmas cookies each year with family and friends from cherished family recipes. Lois was a devoted member of Trinity Lutheran Church, serving in various ministries over the years including her beloved Crafters group.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Ronald Marvin Fitzner; daughter, Brenda (Fitzner) Keilen; parents, Eldor and Frances (Pubanz) Timian; sister, Marilyn Fitzner; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Marvin and Elaine (Kosek) Fitzner; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sharon and Donald Peterson; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Mary and Harlan Blank; brothers-in-law, Michael Fitzner, Curtis Ronsberg, Earl Blank, Dennis Fogelberg; and niece, Elizabeth Fitzner.

Survivors include her children, Jennifer (Matthew) Lindemeier of Norwood, Brian (Jenny) Fitzner of Foxhome, Maggie (Kenneth) Nash of East Grand Forks; grandchildren, Makenna, Daniel, Josiah, Micah, Wyatt; sister, Barbara Ronsberg of Dilworth; brother, Paul (Connie) Timian of Orange, Texas; brother-in-law, John Fitzner of Mankato; sisters-in-law, Kathy Blank of Nicollet, Nancy Fogelberg of Clear Lake, and Cindy Fitzner of Truman.

A funeral service will be planned for the summer of 2026 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls, Minnesota.
