Linda Eide

February 25, 1952 — March 23, 2026

Linda Eide, 74, of Fergus Falls, died March 23, 2026, at HIA Heather's House in Fargo.

Linda Marie (Lee) Eide was born on February 25, 1952, to Alfred and Josephine (Holmquist) Lee in Fergus Falls. A lifelong resident of Fergus Falls, she was baptized and confirmed at Grace United Methodist Church and graduated from Fergus Falls High School in 1970.

On April 11, 1969, she married Nathan Eide in Fergus Falls and had two children, Corey and Ginger. Linda worked numerous jobs, beginning with Normandy Café in high school and then Rosenblatt's sewing factory for many years. She went on to begin a career in a field she always wanted to do, working with the developmentally disabled. She started out at The Children's Home, which later closed, then continued on in group homes and home care (PCA), eventually taking care of one client for over 20 years.

Linda had a great memory for people and loved visiting any chance she got. She taught Sunday School and enjoyed connecting with the youth. She was 'Mom' to many. Over the years she liked dancing, bowling, reading, watching movies and keeping up with her Facebook friends. Her grandchildren were her biggest joy.

In June of 2022 she was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a cancer of the plasma cells in the bone marrow and went through stem cell transplant the following year. She continued with treatment, many procedures and added complications.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Nathan Eide; son Corey Eide; brother Robert Lee; brothers-in-law, Robbie Eide and Johann Gross; and nephew Benjamin Lee.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Ginger Fletcher of Evansville; grandchildren, Savannah (Dylan) Borah of Detroit Lakes, Saffron (Emma Harmsen) Fletcher and Camilla Fletcher both of Minneapolis, and Hewett (Maddie) Fletcher of Barrett; great-granddaughter, Olive Borah of Detroit Lakes; sister, Alice Gross of Plano, TX; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Barb Lee of Fargo, Tom(Trudy) Eide of Fargo and Leah (Scott Anderson) Wilkinson of Bloomington, IN; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews along with their families.
