Lee Klefstad, 82, of Fergus Falls, died Friday, November 7, 2025 at Broen Home in Fergus Falls.

Lee William Klefstad was born June 6, 1943 to William O. and Evelyn (Jerve) Klefstad in Montevideo, MN. He grew up in Fergus Falls, attended school and graduated from Fergus Falls High School

He served in the Air National Guard from 1963-1969. He married Norma Enger in 1964. They had one daughter, Sheri. He remarried Ardella Walkup in 1977, she died in 2006. After Ardella's passing, Lee continued to raise their grandchildren Billie Hart and Colton Messerschmidt.

In 1970, he purchased NAPA Auto Parts in Fergus Falls. He sold the business in the mid-80's and started selling cars in Elbow Lake, and eventually went on to work at Mark Sand and Gravel until he retired in 2006.

Lee was a member of the Eagle's, Uninviteds Car Club, and the American Legion. He enjoyed attending car shows and dirt track racing, and sponsored a racecar with Scott Rachels. He also enjoyed fishing and woodworking.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Ardella, and step-daughter, Pam Messerschmidt.

Lee is survived by his daughter, Sheri (Scott) Ellis of Alexandria; grandchildren, Billie Hart and Colton Messerschmidt both of Fergus Falls, Samantha Ellis of Alexandria, and Sydney Ellis (fiancé, Brett) of Grand Forks; three great-grandchildren, Everett, Aurora, and Arie.

Memorial Service: 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 17, 2025 at Olson Funeral and Cremation in Fergus Falls, with visitation one-hour prior to the service.

Clergy: Chaplain Norm Thompson

Interment: First Lutheran North Cemetery, Fergus Falls, MN
