Jodi Maack, 59, of Fergus Falls, died Thursday, August 7, 2025.
Jodi Lynn Weinmann was born January 5, 1966 to Gerald and Alvina (Streifel) Weinmann in Harvey, ND. She attended Cathedral Grade School and St. Mary's High School, graduating in 1984. She graduated from NDSU in 1991 with a degree in accounting.
On January 3, 2004 Jodi married Greg Maack in Foxhome, MN. They have three wonderful children, Desirae, Marcus, and Isaac. Together they raised their children in Fergus Falls, MN and enjoyed time at their lake place on Ottertail Lake, MN.
After college Jodi was employed by Great Plains Software/Microsoft Software Development in Fargo. After they began raising their family, she chose to spend more time with them and work alongside Greg on the family farm. Jodi was a friendly, positive, and generous spirit. She was one of four sisters, always a happy girl, and the sunshine of the family. She had a smile on her face and a sparkle in her eye; sometimes the sparkle was mischievous. She had a great sense of humor, she loved to pull pranks on her younger sisters, and laughing out loud when they worked. Jodi stayed close to her parents and sisters over the years. Her love for Greg and the children rose above all. She was so very proud of each of them and never got tired of talking about their lives and their achievements. She loved attending all the Fergus Falls sporting events and activities and cheering them on. She enjoyed time outside with her children and the many projects they did together. She was a fun, affectionate and loving mom.
She was a great grill master and loved a good rare steak more than anything. She even brought her own jar of Lawry's seasoning on a trip to Hawaii. She was a big food connoisseur and could tell you what she ate on every occasion, even if it was years ago. Jodi enjoyed all types of fish, and although she never turned down the extra fish others offered, she really preferred to catch them herself.
Jodi enjoyed countless hours with her family at their lake cabin where she especially liked to sit and listen to the loons. She really loved to travel with her family and cherished the many memories they have made together on their trips. She stayed very active, running 5k and 10k races with family and friends. She also loved to spend time gardening at the farm and being around her chickens. Jodi enjoyed reading a good book.
Jodi will continue to watch her children with unconditional love and pride from heaven and will remain their biggest cheerleader for life.
Preceding her in death were her father and mother-in-law, Glen and Etta Maack; sister-in-law, Tami Maack, and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
Jodi is survived by her husband, Greg Maack; her children, Desirae, Marcus, and Isaac; father, Gerald Weinmann; mother, Alvina Weinmann; sisters, Lisa Weinmann (Bruce Elscott) and their children, Lauren Elscott and Jackson Elscott; Tracey Albers and her children, Alexis and Ashley Albers; and Andrea (Chris) Grondahl.
