Janice Eklund

Janice Eklund, 75, a resident of Underwood, died Sunday, June 22, 2025, at PioneerCare, Fergus Falls.

Janice was born on October 17, 1949, in Fergus Falls, MN, to Alfred and Judith (Odden) Johnson. She attended country school and graduated from Underwood High School in 1967.

On February 17, 1968 she married Donald Eklund in Battle Lake, MN.

Janice retired in 2014 from the cooperative purchasing department of Lakes Country Service Cooperative.

She was interested in gardening, baking, cooking, and fishing.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, James Johnson.

Survivors include children, Kathy (Randy) Nordick, Michelle (Dean) Hatlestad, and Mark (Stacy) Eklund; grandchildren, Derek (Tessa) Hatlestad, Branden Hatlestad, Madysen Eklund, Thea Eklund, and Ava Eklund; great-grandchildren, Casen and Daisy Mae; sister, Joan Johnson; aunt, Geraldine Bullene; and many cousins, friends, and neighbors.

Memorial Service: 2 pm Friday, June 27, 2025, at Olson Funeral Home, Fergus Falls with visitation one and a half hours prior to service.

Clergy: Pastor Armin Jahr

Interment: Trefoldighed Cemetery, Battle Lake.
