Jackson Bruce Nelson, 22, of Fergus Falls, died Saturday, September 10, 2022, at the University of Minnesota Fairview Hospital in Minneapolis.
Jackson was born February 25, 2000 to Jeremy and Sara (Stumbo) Nelson in Willmar, MN. He graduated from Kennedy Secondary School in Fergus Falls in 2018.
Jack’s first job was at Design Electronics in Fergus Falls. When he moved to Fargo in 2019, he began working for his BeMobile family as a sales associate. Shortly before his cancer diagnosis, he had been given a promotion to be a store leader at their 32nd Ave. location in Fargo.
He grew up a part of CrossRoads Church, played softball on the church team, and helped with youth group after he graduated. He loved his connections at CrossRoads.
Jack loved all things sports – especially the MN Twins. He enjoyed the Timberwolves and MN Vikings. He also loved going to his cousins, Max and Jace’s football and baseball games.
Preceding him in death were his great-grandparents, Vern and Eva Kragness, Gordon and Ruth Stumbo, Richard and Rachel Nelson and Marvin Wahlstrom, and cousin, Samuel Baumgartner.
Jack is survived by his parents, Jeremy and Sara Nelson; his sisters, Rena Nelson (Jacob Houser) and Kylie Nelson; his girlfriend, Megan Jorgenson; grandparents, Bruce and Donna Nelson and Bruce and Laurel Stumbo; uncle, Jason (Bethany) Nelson; aunt, Rachelle (Jason) Baumgartner; uncle, Chris (Erin) Stumbo; uncle, Ben (Jen) Stumbo; cousins, Max, Benna, and Jace Baumgartner, Ava and Holly Stumbo, Maggie, Cora, and Jo Nelson, and Juliet and Sylvie Stumbo, and many extended family, great-aunts, great-uncles, and their families.
