Ilene Rude

Ilene Janice Rude, 85, formerly of Pickerel Lake, Richville, MN, died Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at Mill Street Residence in Fergus Falls, MN.

Ilene was born on March 10, 1940, to Herbert and Hazel (Christianson) Kronemann in Fergus Falls. She graduated from Fergus Falls High School in 1958.

On December 20, 1958, she was united in marriage to James (Jim) Ellsworth Rude. They were blessed with three sons, Brian, Bradley and Blaine, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Ilene's work experience included telephone operator, in-home daycare provider, and as a paraeducator at Fergus Falls High School (retired).

Ilene and Jim lived in Fergus Falls and Devils Lake, ND. They also enjoyed the years living at Pickerel Lake and retired years wintering in Arizona.

Ilene was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Hazel Kronemann; her husband James Rude; brothers Charles Kronemann, Rodney Kronemann, David Kronemann and sister, Deborah Nogosek.

Ilene is survived by sons, Brian (Annette) of Bismark, ND, Bradley (Heidi) of Highlands Ranch, CO and Blaine (Tiffany) of Eagan, MN; grandchildren, Megan (Riley) Spiker, Rachel (Ryan) Jankowski, Max (fiancée Cammey) Rude, Hannah (Gabriel) Stallcup, Alex Rude, Peyton Rude, Tyler Glidden and Jordan Glidden; great-grandchildren, Leroy Spiker, Damien Spiker, Violet Stallcup, Ivy Stallcup and Blake Jankowski; brother, Michael (Linda) Kronemann and sister Sandy (Daryl) Buchholz.

Service: 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 30, 2026 at Zion of Amor Church in Amor, MN, with visitation one-hour prior to the service at the church.

Clergy: Reverend Chris Mathiason

Interment: Our Savior's Cemetery, Dalton, MN
