Helen (Warn) Vore, 97, of Helena, MT, formerly of Fergus Falls, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2026.
She was born in Gwinner, ND to C. Erick and Agda Warn and was the youngest of five children. Raised in Gwinner she graduated from high school in 1946 and then attended the Northwest Institute of Medical Technology in Minneapolis, graduating in 1947. She came to Fergus Falls that same year and worked at St. Luke's Hospital and then the Estrem Clinic until 1952 when she became busy raising a family.
On July 16, 1949, she married David Vore of Fergus Falls and they had four sons. While raising a family she also worked with her husband at Vore's Sporting Goods and Surge Dairy Equipment Store. After working at "The Store" for 40 years they retired in 1989 and spent seven "snowbird" years in Texas where Dave died of a heart attack in 2004.
Helen enjoyed reading, stitchery, handwork, whist, puzzles, concerts, music, coffee, eating out with friends, and spending time with her family. Helen sang in church choirs for over 70 years and was a member of Grace United Methodist Church of Fergus Falls.
She is survived by sons Mark (Mary Lynn) of Lake Havasu City, AZ; John (Teri) of Helena, MT; Erick of Christchurch, New Zealand; Tim (Kim) of Boise, ID; and many grand and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and four siblings.
