It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our mother, Faye Doris Nehk, 81, a resident of Fargo, ND. Faye passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, after a long battle with COPD.
She was born on March 29, 1942, in Fergus Falls, MN, the daughter of Carl and Hilda (Halvorson) Moen.
On March 26, 1960, she married Danny Nehk and moved to Breckenridge, MN. They were married for 39 years prior to Danny’s passing in 1999 from cancer. She worked for 3M for over 20 years before retiring and moving from Breckenridge to be with her kids and grandchildren.
Faye was able to spend a lot of time with all her kids and grandchildren in her retirement years. She loved spending with her family, gardening, and chocolate. Her favorite pastime was spent with grandchildren or her sister’s baking treats or making Lefse.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Danny; parents, Carl and Hilda; son, Rocky Nehk; granddaughter, Sydney Syvertsen; brothers, Walter, Ernie, Harvey, Kenny and Lester Moen; and sister, Helen Richter.
She is survived by her four children; two siblings; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Service: 11 a.m., Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at Zion Lutheran Church, 202 E Summit Ave, Fergus Falls, MN 56537.
Burial: Oak Grove Cemetery, Fergus Falls, MN.
