Dean Svenby

Dean Svenby, 91, of Fergus Falls, passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at LB Broen Home in Fergus Falls.

Dean Jelmer Svenby was born on May 23, 1934 in Blooming Prairie, MN to Jelmer and Anna (Polak) Svenby. He married the love of his life, Connie Fuchs in 1954. Dean served in the United States Army for 20 years. He trained in troops at Ft. Gordon, GA for 13 years. He served two terms in Vietnam. Dean received the Silver Star and eight Bronze Stars with "V" for Valor, also the Purple Heart. Dean was a hero to all, especially to his family and loved ones.
