Boniveve Findley

February 3, 1938 — October 10, 2025

Boniveve "Bonnie" Findley, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, October 10, 2025 at her home, surrounded by her family.

Boniveve Mae Hanson was born on February 3, 1938 in Fergus Falls, the daughter of Conrad and Myrna (Ritchey) Hanson. Bonnie attended country school and graduated from Fergus Falls High School. She attended beauty school to learn the art of cutting hair - a skill her daughters would later benefit from, proudly sporting their beautiful bangs. While working as a waitress at the Normandy Café in Fergus Falls to put herself through school, she met Everett Findley, who stopped in while passing through town for work. The two quickly connected and were married on November 1, 1958. Through the years, Everett's job took them to various places across the country before they eventually settled in Lexington, MN, where they raised their 3 daughters.

Family was the heart of Bonnie's life. She was deeply involved in her grandchildren's lives-babysitting, cheering them on at school and sporting events, and baking her famous oatmeal cookies and sweets for them.

After Everett's passing, and once her grandchildren were teenagers, Bonnie moved back to Fergus Falls with Andrea and Brenda. Not long after, her sister, Karen joined her there, and the two spent countless happy hours together playing cards and sharing laughter.

Bonnie loved spending time with her family, playing cards and games, putting together puzzles, and rock hunting. No matter the occasion, there was always room for ice cream. She especially loved going for drives, whether long or short. She often chose the "long way home" from town, just to see the lone, beautiful tree that still stands on the old Schroeder farm, where she spent many happy years growing up with her siblings.

Bonnie truly cherished the time with her loved one, whether at reunions, potlucks or card parties. There are too many good times to count, filled with laughter until tears rolled down our cheeks. Bonnie, you will forever be in our thoughts and hearts. We love you to the moon and back and we look forward to the day we see you again - to feel your hugs and hear you tell us you love us, too.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Everett; infant sister, Colleen and sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Gary Swenson.

Survivors include her three daughters; Sharee (Scott) Markuson, Brenda Findley and Andrea Findley; grandchildren, Brittany (Daniel) Rowe and Corey (Angela) Markuson; great-grandchildren, Hunter and Evelyn Markuson; brother, Marc (Cynthia) Hanson; and many loving cousins and extended family.

A private family celebration will be held at a later date.
