Barry “Omar” Anderson, 60, of Fergus Falls, died Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Sanford in Fargo.

Barry Allen Anderson was born May 3, 1963 in Two Harbors, MN to Floyd H. and Elaine H. (Torgerson) Anderson. His family lived in Silver Bay until moving to Fergus Falls in 1971. He attended school in Fergus Falls, graduating from Fergus Falls Senior High School in 1982.

He worked for various companies, all involved trucks or large equipment and outdoor work. The last 16 years he worked for Sverdrup and Aurdal Township maintaining roads. He was a man of few words and larger than life. Barry is known for his mountain man appearance during the winter months. He was an avid outdoorsman, with fishing being his main passion. The last couple of years he enjoyed his time with special friends at the Sugar Shack, cooking maple syrup.

Preceding him in death were his father, Floyd, and brothers, Hartley and Brian.

Barry is survived by the love of his life, Judy Everett; his mother, Elaine Anderson; sister, Robyn (Kevin) Saufley; Jason Everett, Lisa (Gabe) Garman, Camille Everett, Sarah (Josh) Pearce, Dawn (Freyja) Nickolauson, Emma, Owen, Alex, and Luke.

Celebration of Life: 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 18, 2023 upstairs at the Eagles Aerie #2339 120 South Peck Street Fergus Falls, MN 56537.
