Ardell Olson

Remembering...

Ardell Jeanette Olson, known to everyone as Dellie, was born November 1, 1943, in Fergus Falls, Minnesota to Theodore and Anna (Kelly) Schoening.

Dellie graduated from Fergus Falls High School and on April 20, 1963, she married her high school sweetheart Richard Olson who she called Ricky.

Dellie spoke often of her fun high school days and great times with friends. She cherished the time she spent at the cabin her and Ricky built on Pickerel Lake along with the many memories made with family.

Dellie was called home on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at the Pioneer Care Center in Fergus Falls at the age of 82.

She is survived by her son, Reid Olson (Wendi), Fergus Falls, MN; granddaughters, Taylor and Jamie Olson, both of Fargo, ND; and her brother David Schoening (Linda) of Becker, MN.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Olson and her parents, Theodore and Anna Schoening.

Memorial Service: 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 10, 2026 at Olson Funeral and Cremation in Fergus Falls, with visitation one-hour prior to the service.
