Allen Hanson

Allen L. Hanson, 81, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2024. His wife, Bernice, was by his side.

Allen was born on October 2, 1942 in Fergus Falls. He graduated from Underwood High School in 1961 and enlisted in the Army for three years. After being discharged, he worked in sales and customer service for many years in Minneapolis, MN.

 He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Leona Hanson.

 He is survived by his wife, Bernice Hanson; daughters, Tracy (Dan) Hanson, Robyn (Ben) Murray, their mother, Donna Hanson; grandsons, Jacob (Alina) Linton, Ryan (Erika) Linton; foster grandson, Michael Whitman along with cousins and friends.

 Allen was a poet, and he loved people. His poems came from his heart and touched many. He loved Jesus.

 For memorial donations, organizations near and dear to Allen were: Life Today, New Life Center for homeless men in Fargo and ASPCA.

Celebration of Life: 1:00 p.m., Friday, July 12, 2024 at Olson Funeral and Cremation Chapel in Fergus Falls, with visitation one-hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Cemetery: Sverdrup Cemetery, Underwood, MN.

Military Participation: Fergus Falls V. F.W. Post 612 and American Legion Post 30
