Warren R. Luebke

Warren R. Luebke, age 92, of Fergus Falls, formerly of Morris, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2019, at PioneerCare.

He was born in Otter Tail County on January 28, 1927, to RJ and Clara (Krause) Luebke and was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Elizabeth, MN. He attended school at district 37 thru the eighth grade. The family moved to Fergus Falls and he attended and graduated from Washington High School in Fergus in 1944, at the age of 17, and then enlisted in the Navy serving on several sea plane carriers, as a Radioman, Petty Officer 3rd class in the South Pacific and honorably discharged in1946.

He married Geneal M. Hysjulien on June 24, 1949 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls.

He was employed by Minnesota Motors Co. and in 1956 the family moved to Morris where he became President of the Federal Land Bank (now Ag Country Farm Credit).

He was a faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church in Morris serving in many positions. Warren loved his Savior and his family.

Preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers, Clarence and Norman; two sisters, Sylvia Benson and Joyce Hayes; son-in-law, James Loveland; and wife, Geneal in 2016.

Survivors include one son, Kirt (Pat) of Dawson; three daughters, Karla (Ivan) Winger of Bartlesville, OK, Kay Loveland of Inver Grove Heights, Karma (John) Wagner of Fergus Falls, Brother-in-law, Milton (Nelli) Hysjulien, MN; sister-in-law, Hazel Luebke; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials are preferred to the charity of the giver’s choice.

Service: 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 4, 2019, at the Olson Funeral Home, Fergus Falls
