Ralph James Bergquist, 88, of Fergus Falls, died Thursday, August 12, 2021, at the Minnesota Veteran’s Home in Fergus Falls.
Ralph was born on March 27, 1933 in Seattle, Washington, the son of John and Eva (Leberg) Bergquist. He graduated from Detroit Lakes High School in 1952. Upon graduation he entered the United States Army and served in Korea. He was honorably discharged from the Army in 1955. After he returned home from the military he attended Minnesota State Technical College in Moorhead until 1959.
Through the years he worked for NASA in Texas and North Carolina and also for Boeing in Washington.
Ralph was a member of the American Legion and V.F.W in Detroit Lakes. He loved to fish and was a member of the Muskies Club in Detroit Lakes, MN. Ralph will be remembered as a kind and thoughtful man.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include numerous friends including Gail McDougall of Detroit Lakes.
Interment will be at Fargo National Cemetery in Harwood, ND.
