Nancy Jane Rovang

Nancy Jane Rovang, 58, of Fergus Falls, died Wednesday, October 26, 2016, at her home.

Nancy was born on May 9, 1958, in Minneapolis and was adopted shortly after birth by Warren and Ruthie (Araskog) Rovang. She attended grade school in Fergus Falls and graduated from Fergus Falls High School in 1976.

Over the years, Nancy worked at Productive Alternatives and her favorite job was at the YMCA in Fergus Falls, doing custodial work. She was a record-breaking fund raiser and supporter of the Relay for Life team in Fergus Falls. Nancy had a passion for the community of Fergus Falls and its people. She also enjoyed small craft projects and playing games.

Nancy had many friends, a warm smile and loved hugs. She was a life-long member of Augustana Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls and enjoyed the fellowship there.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Ruthie Rovang; and her grandmother, Victoria Araskog, who was very instrumental in caring for Nancy.

Nancy is survived by her brother, John (Sherri) Rovang of Savage; a niece, Candace Rovang; a nephew, Grant Rovang; two aunts, Ellen (Al) Hexum and Marion Araskog; special friend, Jon Carlson; and numerous cousins and family members who took wonderful care of Nancy.

Memorials are preferred to Relay for Life or Augustana Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls.
