Michael Dean Hoeper

Michael Dean Hoeper Sr., 71 of Fergus Falls, died Sunday, August 18, 2019, at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND.
He was born May 14, 1948, the oldest of nine children, to Oren and Evelyn (Hoefer) Hoeper in Fergus Falls. He graduated high school in 1966.
On January 17, 1970, he and Twyla Supernois were united in marriage, to this union two sons, Mick and Cory were born.
On April 20, 1985, he and Cheri (Phelps) Fredrickson were married in Elizabeth, MN.
As a young man, Mike worked as a farm hand on dairy and hog farms. He spent 14 years at West Central Turkeys in the maintenance department. A jack of all trades, Mike was good at fixing things, doing welding and mechanic work from home. In 2000, he started working at Slumberland in Fergus Falls until his retirement in 2010.
Mike enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, racing cars, snowmobiling, woodworking, camping, and spending time with family, especially his grandkids. He loved to talk and frequently called friends and family to check in with them.
He was preceded in death by his father, Oren; mother, Evelyn; brother, Jeffrey, and nephew, Tom.
He is survived by his wife, Cheri Hoeper of Fergus Falls; children, Mick (Teresa) Hoeper of Vining, Cory (James Zheng) Hoeper of Spokane Valley, WA, Ronald (Mary) Fredrickson of Moorhead, and Reitta (Marty) Berg of Fergus Falls; grandchildren, Devin, Emily, Zachary, Elizabeth, Kayla, Chris, Starmaine, Mariah, Jessica, John, Megan, and Preston; seven great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Richard (Dixie) Hoeper, Henry Hoeper, Tony (Glenna) Hoeper, Kevin (Anita) Hoeper, Dawn (Gene) Barvels, Connie (Tony) Banuelos, and Gail (Allen) Rocholl, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 5:00 - 7:00 PM, Thursday, August 22, 2019 at the Olson Funeral Home, Fergus Falls, and will resume one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Service: 1:00 PM Friday, August 23, 2019, at the Olson Funeral Home, Fergus Falls
