Margaret Geline Benda, 87, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Friday May 5, 2017, at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND.
Margaret was born on December 27, 1929 to Rueben and Cora (Ohren) Bergeson in Ashby.
She worked as an LPN at Lake Region Hospital for 30 years, retiring in 2002.
Her favorite activities included baking, bird watching, participating in her church choir and singing with her sisters at special events. She served as an officer of the Eagles Auxiliary.
Preceding her in death were her son, Matt, and her sisters, Ruthie, Beatrice and Connie.
Survivors include her daughters, Mary (James) Johnson of Colorado Springs, CO, and Michele Benda (Pat Putz) of Fergus Falls; grandchildren Lenny (Dana), Linnea, Beau, Teddy, Dustin (Paige), and Nick; great-grandchildren Skyla, Fiona, Joe, Jordyn Jillian and Jocie.
Visitation: One hour before the service at the church
Service: 2:00 pm Saturday May 13, 2017, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls
