Linda Christianson, 70, of Dent, died Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at her residence.
Linda was born December 28, 1951, to Elroy and Dorothy (Weik) Jorgenson in Fergus Falls. She attended school in Rothsay and graduated in 1969 from Rothsay High School.
Linda married Donald Christianson on September 1, 1979, at Hamar Lutheran Church in Rothsay.
Throughout Linda’s employment history she held various positions, most recently she retired from IFS as a human resource/payroll assistant.
Linda enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, camping, spending time by the lake and pontoon rides. She was a member of the Dent Red Hat Society and Maplewood Lutheran Church, where she was referred to as “the Sunshine Lady.”
Her family was everything to her, she cherished every moment, was always there to give her support, and was the glue that kept everyone together. She was a beautiful, very kind and generous person, always thinking of others before herself, and had the biggest heart. Linda was always cheerful, full of life, spunky, and liked to have a good time. She will be dearly missed and is now our angel watching over us.
She is preceded in death by her father, Elroy Jorgenson; brother, Stuart Jorgenson; grandparents; and several aunts and uncles.
Linda is survived by her husband, Don of Dent; children, Corey (Carla) Moen of Rothsay, Stacey (Matt) Mitchell of Perham, Lisa (Jim) Rieber of Pelican Rapids and Kyle (Cassie) Christianson of Moorhead; grandchildren, Danielle, Logan, and Braden Moen, Jesse (Bethany) Mitchell, Destiny (Daniel) Kraft, Dustyn McClendon, Jarrod Rieber, Natalie and Violet Christianson; great-grandchildren, Leigha Ness, Emery, Hayden and Sutton Mitchell; mother, Dorothy Jorgenson; brothers, Bruce Jorgenson, Mark (Kathy) Jorgenson, Brian Jorgenson, and sister, Beth Melchior; and numerous cousins.
Service: 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 3, 2022, at New Life Lutheran Church, Rothsay, MN, with visitation one-hour prior to the service at the church.
Clergy: Reverend Randy Whitehead and Worship Leader Kim Schnitzer
Interment: Bagstevold, rural Erhard, MN at a later date
