Joyce Saurer

Joyce Saurer, 79, of Cloquet, formerly of Fergus Falls, died Friday, November 5, 2021, at the Community Memorial Hospital, Cloquet.

She was born April 28, 1942, in Sverdrup Township, Otter Tail County, MN, the daughter of Fred and Corrine (Highdale) Andvik.

She married Donald Saurer at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church.

Joyce was employed with the Fergus Falls School District, as the lunch lady at Madison School. She also worked at Rosenblatts in Fergus Falls and Bernie’s Liquor Store in Fargo, ND.

Preceding her in death were her parents; sisters, Joan Moen and Alice Tate; a brother, Allen Andvik and brothers-in-law, Ken Moen and Richard Tate.

Survivors include her children, Terri (Wally) Ament, Bruce Saurer, Bonnie Duenow and Lisa (Randy) Swanson; grandchildren, Chad (Amy Carpenter) Currier, Candice (Brandon) Belich, Carmen (Eric Fall) Currier, Joshua (Ashlee) Duenow, Mandy Duenow, Heather (Chris Wornson) Saurer, Klayton Ament, Derek (Tanya Peterson) Ament; great-grandchildren, Caitlyn Currier, Jack Currier, Gavin Belich, Eli Belich, Chloe Currier, London Duenow, Ayreland Duenow, Ava Phillips, Jessika Johnson, Robbie Johnson, Dalton Ament, Briella Ament, and Riley Ament; sister-in-law, Jan Andvik; brothers-in-law, John Saurer, Tom (Lyla) Saurer; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation: 5-7 p.m. with a 6:30 p.m. prayer service, Thursday, November 11, 2021 at the Olson Funeral Home and will resume one hour prior to the service at the church
Mass of Christian Burial: 11 a.m., Friday, November 12, 2021, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, Fergus Falls

Interment: St. Elizabeth Catholic Cemetery, Elizabeth
