Ivan G. Mallas

Ivan "Skip" Mallas, 61, a resident of Fergus Falls, passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at his home.

He was born January 1, 1956, in Staples, MN., the son of Ivan and Jane (Ryti) Mallas. At the age of 12 he moved with his family to Fergus Falls. He attended school and graduated from Fergus Falls High School in 1974.

After graduation, Skip married and had 3 children and worked for Con-Agra Flour Mill.

He enjoyed working on “projects” and his trucks, as well as spending time outdoors camping, where he found peace watching the deer and campfires. Skip was a kind, caring and loving person, who enjoyed all children, family and friends.

Preceding him in death were his father, Ivan; sister, Diane Hawks and his grandparents, along with several other close friends.

Survivors include his mom, Jane Terra of Napa, CA; sister, Susan Hill of Fergus Falls; children, Matthew Mallas, Rhiannon (Travis) Pankake and Bianca (Ryan) Boomer all of Minneapolis, MN.; grandchildren, Ayva, Lola, Ysabela, William, Finley and Hazel; also surviving are extended family and close friends.

Visitation: One hour prior to the service at the Salvation Army.
