Geraldine "Gerrie" Kolle

Geraldine Estelle “Gerrie” Kolle, 84 of Richville, MN, died Monday, June 10, 2019, at the Minnesota Veterans Home in Fergus Falls.

Geraldine was born November 1, 1934, to Goodwin and Esther (Moen) Houg in Fergus Falls. She was a graduate of Fergus Falls High School. On May 1, 1954, Gerrie married Duane Kolle at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls. She worked at First National Bank while Duane was in the service. Gerrie had a home day care business, worked at Shoe Shoe Train Children’s Store in Fergus Falls, Lake Region Wild Rice Children’s Home in Fergus Falls, but most of all, Gerrie thoroughly enjoyed and dedicated her life to raising her family.

She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary, Bethlehem Lutheran Church and MN Veterans Home Choir. In her younger years Gerrie enjoyed roller-skating, an activity where she met her future husband; she also enjoyed crafts, woodworking, bowling, card playing, entertaining family and friends at Pickerel Lake and wintering in Edinburg, TX.

She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Norma Henry.

Gerrie is survived by her husband, Duane of Richville; children, Jan and wife Sue of Lakeville, Todd of Fargo, ND, DeAnn Kolle Lamb and husband Gary Lamb of West Fargo, ND, and Kurt of Richville; grandchildren, Christy (Luke) Nelson, Bradley Kolle, Heidi (Ben) Tillman, Cory Fleck, Justin Fleck, Joshua Fleck, Jacob Lamb, Brie Lamb, Kelsi Kolle; great-grandchildren, Gabe and Jack Nelson and Bryce and Andrew Tillman; also survived by cousins and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to MN Veterans Home Fergus Falls.

A special thank you to the MN Veterans Home staff for all their loving care and concern given to Gerrie during her stay.
