Diane Karen King, 70, of Big Lake formerly of Erhard, lost her battle with cancer and was called home to see the face of Jesus on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at her home.
Diane was born on April 16, 1946, to Richard Cameron and Olive (Hanson) Swenson in Fergus Falls. She spent her young years in Hoffman and later they moved to Battle Lake, where she graduated from high school.
On February 3, 1967, Diane married Everett Arnold Anderson. They spent most of their years in Erhard and raised two daughters. She later moved to Hamilton, MT, where she met and married Billy Eugene King on December 16, 1989. They later moved to Park Rapids,MN.
Diane spent her working years in the roles of care giving. She loved working with the elderly and the mentally challenged. She touched their lives and they touched hers. She had many passions. She loved spending time with family and friends. You could find her every morning building her relationship with her Heavenly Father. She loved to sing and dance. She was very interested in politics and loved to watch Fox News. She loved to read. She loved the mountains. She was very crafty and would repurpose anything she could, to give it a new meaning. Her heart was so full of love and she will be so deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Eugene King; and her parents, Richard and Olive Swenson.
She is survived by her daughters, Tina (Dean) Hunter of Menahga; Heidi (Steve)Uscensky of Big Lake; her grandchildren, Hannah (James) Rantala, Erin Hunter, Ivy (Ryan) Kukowski, Joshua Hunter, Samuel Hunter, Steven Uscensky and Seth Uscensky; her great-grandchildren, Anthony, Thomas, Madelyn, Gabriel, Eagan, Savannah, Landon and Greyson; her siblings, Tim (Carol) Swenson, Russ (Max) Swenson, Faith Reusch, Rocky (Karmen) Swenson, Shelley (Gary) Schott and Jeff (Cindy) Swenson; and many nieces, nephews and other family members.
