Calvin Leland Bengtson, 57, of 424 1st Avenue, Pelican Rapids, died Monday, August 20, 2018 at Essentia Health St. Mary’s in Detroit Lakes.
Calvin was born on June 30, 1961 in Wadena, MN, the son of Leland and Irene (Stoltz) Bengtson. Calvin loved the outdoors and found peace and freedom in camping, fishing and gardening.
He took pride in being employed as a landscaper, maintenance worker, but especially as a painter.
Calvin loved his family and friends, was kind hearted and would help anyone in need if he could. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 27, 2018 at 3 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Fergus Falls, MN with Reverend Chris Eldredge officiating.
