Barbara A. Snowberg, 89, of Fergus Falls, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, March 6, 2019.
Barbara was born August 4, 1929, in Fergus Falls, the youngest of Barbara Swanson’s five children. She married Alan Snowberg on September 24, 1950, in Fergus Falls.
She enjoyed a long career with the Fergus Falls Public Schools as a secretary, retiring in 1995.
Barbara enjoyed spending time with her family, working on crossword puzzles, reading, babysitting her “fur-babies” and baking her famous pies; she also loved their cottage on Star Lake.
She is survived by her loving husband, Alan; daughters, Jane (Robin) Burns and Laurie (Bob) Deckert both of Fergus Falls; grandchildren, Andy (Carrie) Gillund of Minneapolis, Tara Gillund of Fergus Falls, Annie Deckert (Tim Dolan) of Elk River, Lexi (Trevor) Anderson of Marshall, Brandon (Brittney) Deckert of Pinedale, WY, and Jordan Burns of Grand Forks, ND, and three great-grandchildren.
Barbara was preceded in death by an infant daughter and four siblings.
A private service will be held; Barbara will be put to rest at Oak Grove Cemetery in Fergus Falls.
Arrangements are with the Olson Funeral Home, Fergus Falls.
