Alden Fyhrie, 58, passed away October 31, 2018, at his home in Erhard, under the care of LB Hospice.
He was born June 8, 1960, to Conrad and Christine (Poltiske) Fyhrie in Fergus Falls. He was baptized into the Catholic faith on June 26, 1960. He was raised on the family farm in Friberg township, per Alden, “the best place to be raised.”
Alden attended country school in Friberg and graduated from Fergus Falls High School in 1978. Alden was employed by Bimbo Bakeries in Fergus Falls. He was united in marriage to Janice Hansen on August 28, 2018. Alden loved hunting, fishing, and the great outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Elaine (in 1957); brother Larry, and twin brother, Allen.
He is survived by his wife, Janice; brothers, Leonard (Jill) Fyhrie, LeRoy “Lee” (Angie) Fyhrie; sister, Leona (Tom) Arneson; sisters-in-law, Carol Fyhrie, and Elaine Fyhrie; stepchildren, Jennifer, James and Johnathon Watson; grandchildren, Paige, Tina, and Johnathon Jr.; nieces; nephews; friends and his dog, Bud.
A Service of Remembrance will be held, in conjunction with the pre-planned benefit, on Saturday, November 17, 2018, beginning at 2:00 PM at Hillbilles Vittles in Erhard, MN.
