Lois M Gulleckson

Lois M. Gulleckson, 91, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Friday, December 19, 2014 at the Minnesota Veteran’s Home in Fergus Falls.

Lois was born on July 5, 1923 in Pelican Rapids, the daughter of Martin and Tessie (Nettestad) Skow. She grew up in Pelican Rapids and graduated from Pelican Rapids High School in 1941.

On April 5, 1947 she married Harold Gulleckson in Pelican Rapids. She worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Venabols in Pelican Rapids and for Dr. Lee in Fergus Falls. She retired when her first daughter was born.

She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls for over 60 years. She enjoyed handwork, knitting, crocheting, and crewel embroidery, and baking, playing cards and spending time with her grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents and sisters and brothers-in-law, Pauline (Ithel) Schipper and Bess Marie (Earl) Hagen.

Survivors include her husband, Harold of Fergus Falls; daughters, Carol (Curt) Trygstad of Fargo, ND and Janice (Jerry) Flatin of Grand Fork, ND; grandchildren, Greta (Matt) Kiser of Fargo, ND, John (Stephanie) Trygstad of Mesa, AZ, Tess (Case) Wagenaar of Grand Forks, ND; Mandy (Monica) Flatin of Jacksonville, FL; great-grandchildren, Luke and Max Kiser, Caden Grasso and Cyrus and Sidney Trygstad.

Memorials may be directed to MN Veterans Home, Fergus Falls or Maplewood Lutheran Church.

Visitation: 12:30 to 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home
Service: 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 23, 2014, at the Olson Funeral Home Chapel
