Joan L Wienbar

Joan L. Wienbar, 61, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Tuesday, July 2, 2015, at Lake Region Healthcare in Fergus Falls.

She was born February 23, 1954 to Herbert and Adeline (Schmidt) Rose in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. Over the years she worked at several local restaurants, including Perkins, The Jazzy Fox and also as a dietary assistant at Mill Street Residence in Fergus Falls.

Her greatest joy in life was her grandchildren and spending time with them. They were always her number one priority. She took her granddaughter, Alison, on a special trip to Breyerfest in Kentucky.

Joan will be remembered for her contagious smile and heart of gold. She always put others before herself, and for many years, she was a constant companion and caretaker for her mother.

Joan enjoyed country music, attending concerts, casino trips with her mom and spending time with her children and their families. She was a people person and enjoyed taking bus tours with AJ Tours, during which she made many new friends. She also had a love for playing piano and had a true talent.

Preceding her in death was her father Herb.

Surviving include her mother, Adeline Rose of Fergus Falls; 3 daughters, Kristy Tetzlaff of Brainerd, MN, Amy (Shawn) Griego of Moorhead, MN and Julie (Jamie) Hanson of Fergus Falls; 4 grandchildren, Bailee and Alexis Griego and Alison and Alexander Hanson; 3 brothers, Larry (Shari) Rose of Minnetonka, MN, Doyle (Kim) Rose of Los Angeles, CA, and Dean (Sue Timm) Rose of Chaska, MN; and 2 aunts, Marie Johnson of Fergus Falls, and Arlene (Milton) Erlandson of Elbow Lake, MN: also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 11:30a.m. -1:30 p.m. Monday, July 6, 2015 at Olson Funeral Home, Fergus Falls.
Memorial Service: 1:30 p.m. Monday, July 6, 2015 at Olson Funeral Home, Fergus Falls.
Interment: Trinity-Faith Cemetery, rural Fergus Falls, Private Family Burial.
