Gerri F. Hilden

Geraldine Faye Hilden, 81, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Sunday, June 3, 2018, at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND.

She was born on January 2, 1937, to Francis “Frank” and Effie (Bergh) Green in Pierre, SD. The family moved to Fergus Falls, MN, when Gerri was an infant. Gerri grew up in Fergus Falls and graduated from Roosevelt Park Senior High in 1955.

In 1957, Gerri married Donald Hilden at The Federated Church in Fergus Falls. The couple lived in Moorhead, MN, Logan, UT, Duluth, MN, and Washington, DC.

Gerri moved to Lakewood, CO, and received her Associates of Arts degree. She was employed by the United States Federal Government - Environmental Protection Agency, working with Investigations. Gerri retired from the EPA after 40 years of government service. In 2012, she returned to Fergus Falls.

She was a member of The Federated Church, working with the kitchen crew as well as various committees at the church.

Gerri was an avid sports fan, especially the Minnesota Vikings and Twins. She also enjoyed needle work, and volunteering at the church, with elections, and at the Otter Tail County Historical Society.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Frank and Effie Green; and her former husband, Donald.

Survivors include her sister, Gail Green of Fergus Falls, MN, several cousins in North Dakota and California, and numerous friends.

Visitation: One hour prior to the service at the church

Service: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at The Federated Church in Fergus Falls

Clergy: Rev. Douglas Dent

Interment: Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Fergus Falls, MN
