Eugene Dale Herrmann

Eugene Dale Herrmann, age 68, of Dent, died Monday, March 13, 2017, at Vibra Hospital in Fargo, ND.
Eugene was born on December 29, 1948, to William Albert and Lucille Marie (Albright) Herrmann in Perham, MN. He attended school in Perham and graduated from Perham High School in 1966. In 1967, Eugene enlisted in the United States Army and served in Vietnam in 1968 and was discharged in 1969 after being stationed in Germany.
Eugene worked construction after high school and following his time in the military, he went to work for Bobcat in Gwinner, ND. He was disabled by his military experience and moved to his home in rural Dent in 1978.
Eugene was a member of the American Legion and the V.F.W. He enjoyed watching deer and listening to talk radio. He also liked to spend time fishing and hunting and loved motorcycles.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Lucille Herrmann; and a brother, Larry Herrmann.
Eugene is survived by his two sons, Jeff (Nina) Herrmann of Woodbury, MN, and Christopher (Natalie) Herrmann of Vienna, VA; five grandchildren, Sasha, Eric, Hannah, Henry and Harrison; two brothers, Ronald (Judith) Herrmann of Medical Lake, WA, and Elden (Janice) Herrmann of Moorhead, MN; several cousins; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 10-11:00 AM on Saturday, March 18, 2017, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Dora Township in rural Dent.
