Donna J. Andstrom

Donna J. Andstrom, 82, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Sunday, October 22, 2017, at the Broen Home in Fergus Falls.

Donna was born in her Grandmother Seffens’ house in Breckenridge, MN, on October 21, 1935, to Herbert and Leona (Seffens) Nickel. She graduated from Fergus Falls High School in 1953.

On September 26, 1954, Donna married Donald Earl Toso at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls. (They were married until his death in 1976.) In 1957, the moved to Fergus Falls, where Donna was employed with the Fergus Falls Regional Treatment Center as a Psychiatric Technician in the mid-70’s.

Donna married Robert Andstrom on August 23, 1977, in Watertown, SD.

Donna enjoyed gardening, Bingo, her cat “KeKe”, and traveling to Seattle and Minneapolis.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husbands, Donald Toso and Robert Andstrom; daughter, Kathi Toso in 2007; granddaughter, Angel Schumacher; two son-in-laws, David Schumacher Sr., and Lee Samp.

Survivors include her children, Lori Buseth of Fergus Falls, Joni (Michael) Fick of Big Lake, Debbie Peasley of Fergus Falls; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; brother, Richard (Clara) Nickel of Fergus Falls; nephew, Rick (Lisa) Nickel; and niece, Sandy (Tim) Lien.


Visitation: One hour prior to the service at the funeral home
Service: 1 p.m. Friday, October 27, 2017, at Olson Funeral Home, Fergus Falls
Clergy: Reverend Martha Halls
Interment: First Lutheran North Cemetery, Fergus Falls
