Delores Mae Helgerson, 80, a resident of rural Dent, died Wednesday, April 02, 2014 at Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls.
Delores was born on August 22, 1933 in White Lake, SD, the daughter of Henry and Amanda (Niecess) Maurer. She grew up in the Campbell area and graduated from Campbell High School in 1952.
On August 25, 1955 she married Forrest Helgerson in Breckenridge, MN. Through the years, Delores was a homemaker and raised her two children, Tammy and Brian.
She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Dent, MN. She enjoyed fishing, living on the lake, volunteering, playing pinochle, collecting pens and especially spending time with her grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; brother, Charles Maurer and two sisters, Pearl Toelle and Lois Hansen.
Survivors include her husband, Forrest Helgerson of Dent, MN; two children, Tammy (Mark) Lemke of Oak Grove, MN and Brian Helgerson of Detroit Lakes, MN and two grandchildren, Melissa Lemke and Sarah Lemke both of Oak Grove.
