Delores F. Arndt

Delores F. (Mrs. Elroy) Arndt, 87, of rural Battle Lake, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2015, at the Battle Lake Good Samaritan Center in Battle Lake.

Delores was born on July 28, 1928, in Christine, ND to Harold and Louise (Ivers) Melvey. In her youth, she attended grade school in Christine, ND and continued her schooling at Fargo Central High School, graduating in 1946. Delores also attended the University of Minnesota and graduated from Concordia College in 1950 with a degree in Education.

On June 24, 1967 she married Elroy Arndt in Porter, MN. Delores was employed as a teacher in Battle Lake, Canby and Jackson where she taught Math, English, Physical Education and Art at the High School level.

Delores’s hobbies included golfing, swimming, playing cards and watching the Minnesota Twins.

Preceding her in death were her parents and step-father, Clifford Danielson.

Survivors include her husband, Elroy of Battle Lake; a son, Scott ( Krisy) Arndt of Battle Lake; and a granddaughter, Taylor Arndt; along with numerous cousins.

Memorials are preferred to the Lake Region Cancer Care and Research Center.

Visitation: 1 hour prior to the service at Olson Funeral Home
Memorial Service: 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 19th at Olson Funeral Home
