Charles Eugene Carrison

Charles Eugene Carrison, 79, of Underwood, MN died Friday, April 4, 2014 at PioneerCare in Fergus Falls, MN.

Chuck was born on May 7, 1934 in Campbell, MN to Robert and Martha (Moe) Carrison. He attended and graduated from Fergus Falls High School in 1952.

On November 5, 1954, Chuck married Dorene Klimek at Augustana Lutheran Church, Fergus Falls, MN.

Chuck worked at Fossen Oil throughout high school. After high school he worked at Red Dot Potato Chip Company in Fergus Falls and Schultz and Lindsey in Fargo, ND. After over 20 years at Mark Sand and Gravel in Fergus Falls, he retired. In 1971, Chuck and his family moved to a hobby farm near Pleasant Lake. In 1985, they moved into their present home in Underwood.

Chuck loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also loved hunting and fishing with family and friends, and had a passion for sports, especially watching his grandchildren participate in their sports and activities.

Chuck was known for keeping a close watch on his 5 girls’ car tabs and air in their vehicles’ tires. He loved spending time with his family and gave them several nicknames that have stuck to this day.
Preceding him in death were his parents; infant brother, Dale; brothers, Darrell, Frank; sister, Muriel; father-in-law, Willie Klimek; mother-in-law, Ruth (Gullickson) Klimek; brothers-in-law, Jack Nelson, Wilbert Klimek; and his loyal best friend, his dog, Sadie.

Survivors include Chuck’s wife, Dorene; children, Kim (John) Mark, Vickie (Louie) Abraham, Jodi (Brad Abel) Schmidt, Lesley (fiancé, Trevor Funkhouser) Jacobson, Angie (Pat) Pickar; grandchildren, Lindsay (Bill) Milbeck, Chris Mark, Haley Abraham, Heather (Darren) Herman, Jamie Schmidt, Tyler (Jackie) Jacobson, Trista Jacobson, Chayse and Iyana Pickar; great-grandchildren, Hazen and Londyn Milbeck, Brooklyn Abraham, Cole, Braxton and Taelyn Schmidt, Addilyn Jacobson; brother, Robert Carrison; sisters, Donna Bellinger, Sylvia Dodson, Beverly Carrison, Rita (Lewis) Berge, Marti (Joe) Fuccy, Lois Appelgate; sisters-in-law, Darlene Nelson, Dorothy Klimek; brother-in-law, Ken Brown; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 5-7 p.m. with public prayers at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, April 10, 2014 at the Olson Funeral Home, Fergus Falls, MN
