Betty Jean Johnson

Betty Jean Johnson, 88, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Monday, April 2, 2018, at her home at the Sheridan House in Fergus Falls. She was born on May 4, 1929, in Fergus Falls, MN, to Edwin and Stella (Lillemoen) Helleckson. Betty was an enthusiastic member of the Class of 1947. She was especially proud of the fact that her 5 children, 3 grandchildren, and 3 of 4 of her great-grandchildren are “OTTERS”!!! On November 25, 1950, Betty married Stanley James Johnson at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls. Betty worked as an assistant in the County Treasurers Office, did the books for the family business, Stan’s Heating Service, but her favorite job was being Mom to their 5 children and making sure they were where they needed to be. Always on time, fed, and properly dressed. Bethlehem Church has been an important part of Betty’s life.
