Bert Norman “Norm” Aasen, 84, of Fergus Falls, formerly of rural Underwood, died Friday, July 28, 2017, at PioneerCare in Fergus Falls.

He was born on November 24, 1932, in Fergus Falls, MN to Berger and Marie (Nygaard) Aasen.

After moving to the PioneerCare, he enjoyed meeting new friends, worshipping with Mae, the Friendship Fridays’, (Ice Cream Social) the coffee hour, and especially the view from his room, where he could see the pond, deer, geese, ducks and other bird varieties.

Through the years, he has belonged to the YMCA, the Underwood American Legion Post 489; and was a former board member of the Rindal Lutheran Church. After the Rindal church fire, the family joined the Tingvold Church, of rural Underwood, where he has maintained his membership.
