Barbara Jean Rust Hunsaker

Barbara Jean (Rust) Hunsaker, 73, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Thursday, January 5, 2017, at Lake Region Health Care in Fergus Falls.
Barb was born on April 2, 1943, in Perham, MN, the daughter of Carl and Ada (Castle) Rust. She grew up in the Perham/Richville area and attended school in Perham.
On April 9, 1961, Barbara married Thomas Henry Cassetty. The couple lived in the Perham/Richville area, and they had two children; Laura Jean and James LaRoy. In 2002, she moved to Fergus Falls and worked for New Dimensions. She enjoyed travelling, reading and being with her family.
Preceding her in death were her parents; a son, Jimmy, who died at 13 months; two brothers, Gordon, Jr., and Melvin “Kenny” Rust; a sister-in-law, Patty Rust; and a niece and nephew, Jenny and Robbie Rust.
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Laura Johnson of Fergus Falls; her brothers, Warren (Linda) Rust of Bluffton, Jerome Rust of Richville, and Rick (Cassy) Rust of Ravensdale, WA; a sister-in-law, Phyllis Eileen Rust of Campbell; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 13, 2017, at the PioneerCare Celebration Center in Fergus Falls.
